Search Entries
A name, location, or other term entered in a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Gove County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages
Emails and contact-form messages are kept as needed to prepare a reply. They are not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Automatic Technical Data
Normal web systems can collect technical details when a page loads, including:
- Internet Protocol address
- Browser type and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages visited and time spent on them
- The referring website, when available
- Date and time stamps
Cookies

Links may lead to Gove or host-jail records, Kansas corrections pages, government portals, and third-party search tools. Once a visitor follows an outside link, that service’s privacy policy governs its collection and use.
Some advertising partners may track activity across websites to select ads. That processing occurs on the partner’s systems, not on this site’s own system.
Limited Data Sharing
Personal data is not sold. It may be received by these parties when needed:
- Search partners processing a submitted query
- Analytics providers measuring site use
- Advertising networks serving ads
- Law enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order

Reasonable, standard safeguards are used for information handled by the site. No internet-connected service can be guaranteed fully secure or immune from a breach.
Visitors Under 18
